Friday, September 14: Snoop ‘Lion’ Dogg

Not only is this Friday ladies night at School of Rock, but the one and only Snoop [former Dogg now Lion] will be present.

Most have grown up with Snoop. Listening to songs such as ‘Drop It Like Its Hot’, ‘Who Am I’ and ‘Gin & Juice’.  Snoop even created his own language along with his television show Snoop Doggy Fizzle. This man seems to have done it all. And recently he has chosen to be reincarnated.

Whether he be feline or as most know him a Dogg, the man himself will be present this Friday, September 14 and will take to the stage. And as always 101.5 Jamz will be there providing beats for everyone.

Girls $5 and Guys $10 to see the show.  Drink specials of $2 Bud Lights and $3 Sex On The Beach. VIP Tables are available.

Saturday, September 1: Ying Yang Twins

The Atlanta based hip-hop duo that told us to “shake it like a salt shaker” and repeatedly told everyone to ‘Get Low’ is back.

The duo, Kaine and D-Roc will be at School of Rock on Saturday, September 1. The two have been performing since 1997. They debuted in 2000 and ever since collaborating with Lil Jon on the single, ‘Get Low’ they have been creating memorable club hits and favorable party singles including ‘Halftime‘, ‘Shake’ and ‘Badd.’

Ying Yang Twins topped the charts with their 2005 single ‘Wait (The Whisper Song).’ Most thought the duo was done, but to disprove all the Ying Yang Twins came back in 2012 dropping their newest single, ‘First Pump, Jump Jump.’

With the new material from Ying Yang, it has been shown that they can produce hits that step away from just pure raunchy material. It’s clear with the dance music scene on a rise the Ying Yang Twins want to prove they couldn’t just be forgotten.

The new sounds from the twins produce a more dance melodic beat that is pretty energized. It has been rumored by Rap-Up.com that the new single was inspired by the TV show, “Jersey Shore.”

Regardless of the new sounds, everyone knows what these two have in store; a clear raunchy time remembering the club hits that still pop into our head or blast through the radios.

Come on out to School of Rock and those club hits will be live once again.

Show is Saturday, September 1. Make sure to visit Facebook to get all the necessary information for Saturday night.

UK Thursdays: Felguk

The melodic progression of dance and house music will be in plentiful supply for UK Thursdays August 30 show.

Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian DJ duo , Felguk has been creating Electro House beats that truly get the crowd into a non-stop dancing phase. Felipe Lozinsky and Gustavo Rozenthal have been active within the roll of DJs since 2007.  The duo has performed at world renowned dance music festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival, Nocturnal Festival and the most recent in Belgium for Tomorrowland 2012.

As of now Felguk is ranked #87 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll. The poll was released October 2011. The 2012 voting for the Top 100 DJ’s ends August 29, 2012. Perhaps just like the Dutch Electro House duo, Dada Life, Felguk will move up in the poll [Dada Life moved from #89 in 2010 to #38 in 2011].

Felguk’s own Dongle Records have produced the duos well known singles such as ‘Blow Out’, ‘Jack It’ and ‘Bassive‘. The duo also masters the art of remixing with other artists work such as Madonna, The Black Eyed Peas and David Guetta.

With the polls closing on Wednesday, August 29, Felguk will hit the soundboards at School Of Rock on Mill for UK Thursdays, August 30. Proof can be given on the duo soon to be ranking in a live setting.

Ages 18 and up are welcome. 18 to shuffle. 21 to stumble.
